What the official numbers say

Across all Global Talent routes, the official endorsement grant rate was around 63% in 2024 (UK Home Office data). The rate varies by endorsing body, route and — most of all — by how well the evidence matches the published criteria. Endorsement decisions are made solely by the endorsing bodies: Tech Nation, Arts Council England, The Royal Society, The Royal Academy of Engineering and UKRI.

We do not publish a single in-house “success rate”. Any adviser quoting one is measuring their own client selection as much as their work — a firm that only takes obvious cases will always show a flattering number. See our detailed breakdown of the official statistics.

What strong cases share

Watching applications succeed and fail across arts, technology, science and engineering, the same five patterns separate strong cases from weak ones:

• Route fit before effort. The single most common failure is applying to the wrong endorsing body or the wrong tier (Exceptional Talent vs Exceptional Promise). Strong cases start by matching the profile to the criteria — not by polishing documents.
• Evidence quality over volume. Endorsing bodies read a limited set of documents. Ten pieces of independently verifiable recognition beat forty screenshots.
• Independent recognition. Press coverage, awards, invited talks, exhibitions, merged code, citations — things third parties did because of your work, not things you wrote about yourself.
• Letters from people who know the work. A specific letter from a recognised figure who can describe your contribution concretely outweighs a generic letter from a famous name.
• A coherent narrative. The reviewer should be able to say in one sentence what you are exceptional at. Strong applications read as one story; weak ones read as a folder.

Who we typically work with

Profile types we regularly prepare across the four tracks: conductors, composers and performing artists; visual and installation artists; film and theatre professionals; writers and curators (Arts Council England route); software engineers, product leaders, AI researchers and founders (digital technology route); scientists, clinical researchers and academics (science and research routes); and engineers with recognised industrial contributions. If your specialism is niche, that is rarely a barrier — most niche fields map onto one of the established routes.

Immigration cases are sensitive. Our clients’ endorsement files contain their careers, their employers and their plans — and many prefer that their visa route stays private. We do not publish client names, quotes or case details, and we are wary of the industry habit of decorating websites with unverifiable success stories.
